Terms and Conditions

Using Zova means you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

To use Zova, you must:

• Meet the minimum legal age for communication services in your jurisdiction.
• Have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
• Follow the laws and regulations that apply to your use of the service.
• Use the service for personal purposes, without illegal, abusive, fraudulent, or unauthorized commercial activity.

Zova brings together private conversations, group chats, contacts, community posts, media sharing, and voice messages.

Account access, communication, groups, media delivery, and notifications rely on backend services. Feature availability and usage limits may depend on your app version, device, settings, and service capacity.

You are responsible for protecting your device, sign-in credentials, authentication methods, and recovery information. Someone who obtains these details may be able to access your account.

Available sign-in and recovery options depend on your account setup. Keep your credentials private and do not share, transfer, or allow someone else to use your account.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact develop@inter-digital.org without sharing your password or recovery information.

Zova supports direct and group conversations, voice messages, photos and files, contacts, community posts, and location sharing when you choose to send a location. Notifications depend on your app and device settings. Group size and other features are subject to service limits.

You are responsible for the content you create, send, or publish. Do not use these features for harassment, spam, scams, fraud, or other unlawful activity.

You keep ownership of your content. You give Zova the limited permission needed to store, process, and deliver that content as part of running the service.

We may remove content or limit access when these terms are violated. Use available reporting and blocking controls for unwanted or abusive interactions, or contact develop@inter-digital.org about abuse or safety concerns.

You must not use Zova to:

• Carry out illegal activities or transactions.
• Commit fraud, phishing, scams, or identity misuse.
• Distribute unlawful, harmful, or abusive content.
• Harass others, send spam, or impersonate another person.
• Hack, exploit, reverse engineer, or disrupt the service, except where applicable law permits activity that cannot be restricted by these terms.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms. We may also limit features or access for security, legal, or operational reasons.

You can stop using Zova at any time. To delete your account, open Me > Settings > Delete Account and complete the confirmation steps. Uninstalling the app does not delete the account.

Account deletion disables access, invalidates device sessions, and clears local account storage on the device used for deletion. Some service-side records and copies of shared content may remain. See Account Deletion and Data Retention for details and how to request further deletion.

Zova is available on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the extent allowed by law, Zova is not responsible for losses caused by:

• Unauthorized access resulting from a failure to protect your device or account.
• Service outages, interruptions, or technical failures.
• Disruptions to services provided by third parties.
• Data loss caused by events beyond our reasonable control.

These terms do not limit rights or liabilities that applicable law does not allow us to limit.

We may change these terms from time to time. The update date appears at the top of this page. Continuing to use Zova after changes means you accept the revised terms, subject to applicable law.

These terms are governed by the applicable laws and regulations of the jurisdiction in which Zova operates, subject to any mandatory protections that apply where you live.
